How can we help

The Political Section of the Embassy, or Chancery, promotes bilateral political relations between the UK and Lebanon, and works closely with the Government of Lebanon to address international issues of concern. This part of the embassy is also responsible for cooperation and development projects between the UK and Lebanese partners.

The UKTI section promotes UK Trade & Investment in Lebanon, providing a wide range of services to both British and Lebanese businesses.

The Press and Public Diplomacy section provides both journalists and members of the public with information about UK-Lebanese bilateral relations and more widely on issues relating to UK Foreign Policy in the region and wider world. We regularly issue information to the media on a range of issues, via press releases and other media tools.

The Consular Section provides consular services to British Citizens in Lebanon. It issues British passports, and registers births and deaths of British subjects in Lebanon.

The Visa Section issues over 8,000 visas per year for foreign nationals wishing to travel to the UK. It provides advice on all aspects of UK immigration requirements.

The Defence Section is responsible for all aspects of the defence relationship between the UK and Lebanon, including defence sales, reciprocal training agreements and defence diplomacy.
