The British Ambassador Frances Guy announced during her visit to Arcenciel NGO that the embassy with the help of its partners will aim at raising 1 ton of bottle tops for manufacturing one wheelchair.

Inquirer Award 2009
The Thomson Foundation of the UK is looking forward to announcing the winners of the Inquirer Award 2009 at a special Awards ceremony that will be held in Amman, Jordan on the 17 of February. They received a total of 154 entries to the Print Media category; a total of 39 entries to the Television category and a total of 24 photojournalists took part in the Photojournalism category.

Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed

British Embassy Beirut can confirm that one British National and one dual National were on board Ethiopian Airlines departing from Beirut to Ethiopia, that crashed into the sea off the coast of Lebanon early this morning.
